Sugar Free Peanut Butter

Okay, so you would like to think that some things don't need to be sweetened and they are just delicious on their own! You're right, but most peanut butter that you buy from the store even some that say they are 100% natural have some form of added sweetener. SO I decided to make my own, because the REAL stuff is expensive. I'm cheap AND lazy and I still was able to make delicious peanut butter. Here is what you will need.

Ingredients: 2 cups shelled unsalted peanuts
Peanut Oil
Tools: Blender
Silicone Spatula

Okay so you have to have a little patience with this one, but I promise it is worth it. Start with one cup of your peanuts and tossing them into the blender. If you are having trouble use your spatula to move the peanuts down to the blade. (make sure the blender is off, let's make good choices people.) If you are still having trouble, SLOWLY add a small amount of the peanut oil. The oil is basically just there to help you out with the blending process, so if you don't need it feel free to leave it out. Blend until you get that smooth creamy texture you love. Now add the other cup of peanuts and blend it in with your already creamy mix, stop before all of it is liquefied if you like it chunky.

If you are worried about it lasting and you not using it right away, feel free to add a little organic raw honey, it is a natural preservative don't you know! Once you are done getting your desired texture that is it! Now all you need is to store it. I personally bought the 16oz Ball Mason Jars Wide-Mouth from Amazon. You can check it out in the store page. A: they were inexpensive and GREAT! B: I love Amazon, free two day shipping AND I don't have to leave my house. Perfection. Here is a picture of my finished product!

Now, I am not one to eat peanut butter out of the jar, BUT this has been awesome for recipes. From my Sugar Free Rice Krispie Treats, to Sugar Free Peanut Butter Cookies.
